On
March 24, 2007, the VCC AmeriCorps*VISTA Team, with the
help of one dozen community volunteers,
put on a Poverty Simulation at UVM.
About 40 students took up the challenge to assume the roles
of individuals and families in poverty as they struggle
to survive a “month” (one hour) on a limited budget
while fulfilling their basic needs. (Photos
