About the Presenter:

Dr. George D. Kuh, Chancellor's Professor of Higher Education at Indiana University, is the leading scholar in research on student development, assessment, and environments. He founded the National Survey of Student Engagement and directs the College Student Experiences Questionnaire Research Program. Widely published, Dr. Kuh’s interests include assessment, institutional improvement, and campus cultures. He has consulted with more than 140 higher education institutions and educational agencies in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Kuh has received awards from numerous associations for his research contributions.

George D. Kuh is the author of High-Impact Educational Practices: What They Are, Who Has Access To Them, and Why They Matter, a report from AAC&U’s Liberal Education and America’s Promise (LEAP) initiative. This report summarizes data drawn from the National Survey of Student Engagement and discusses why decades of research show that participating in certain educational practices correlates with higher levels of student performance.
