AmeriCorps Applicants
Thank you for your interest in serving as an AmeriCorps member
with Vermont Campus Compact (VCC)
In the 2010-2011 year, VCC will offer more than 30 full-time
AmeriCorps positions throughout the state. The positions will fall
within three categories: anti-poverty (VISTA), environmental sustainability
(National Direct), and college access and success (National Direct).
Although there are many similarities between AmeriCorps VISTAs
and National Direct members, there are also some key differences
to be aware of. This section of the website is intended to help
you identify the service option you are most comfortable with.

is indirect, meaning that VISTA members perform tasks, such as fund
development or volunteer recruitment, that promote strengthening
and growth of the host site. VISTA members can expect some irregular
hours (evenings and weekends). Additional employment/income sources
is not permitted.
