VCC's Engaged Campus Forum Over 80 attendees from Vermont campuses and communities joined us on Friday, April 12th for the First Annual Engaged Campus Forum. Participants heard from higher education leaders in the state about the importance of fostering civic engagement, and the opportunities and challenges of being an "engaged campus." Awards were presented to educators, community partners, and students to recognize their leadership in campus-community engagement. And over 40 people stayed for an afternoon workshop on fostering civic learning. We look forward to continuing this annual event, and choosing a theme for 2014.

of the NNECC EPA Grants for Service-Learning Four Vermont Campus Compact member campuses have been chosen as recipients of $5,000 grants as part of an EPA initiative to fund service-learning related to Climate Change and Water Quality. Congratulations to:
Interdisciplinary teams of faculty from these institutions will participate in a regional training seminar where they will craft their plans to implement service-learning courses. They will receive ongoing support from VCC, and their syllabi will be collected as a resource for other institutions return to top
