Statewide Student Conference: Ideas Into Action
VCC's annual event for college students involved or interested in community service, activism, and social change. Many Vermont students are trying to create a better world, addressing issues such as climate change and poverty, through a variety of means: activism, community service, advocacy and more. Join in conversation with students, community organizers, and elected officials to build meaningful collaborations that will create the future we all seek.

MLK Day of Service Challenge (Request for Proposals Deadline Extended: Oct. 3)
The MLK Day Challenge 2009 occurring on January 19th, 2009 will mobilize 500 college students and youth to complete service projects throughout the state of Vermont while reflecting on Dr. King's life. Ten campuses will organize projects throughout the state that assist local agencies in expanding or improving their abilities to help the people they serve and that is only in Vermont. Thousands of college students and young people will participate in similar projects across America. The MLK Challenge breaks down barriers amongst participants and between the students and their local community using a unique program model that frames the day as a "challenge" utilizing the resources, creativity and planning ability of each team or group of young people.
